I updated the latest system core and the dependent modules a few days ago.

Since then, I am flooded by SPAM signup who are able to fill the form without the required field I was using to mitigate them. When I see a pending user, the required field is not filled out, yet the form is submitted to me for review.

Did something change in that area?

This is my signup form. I have a required field (What are you looking for...) that requires a sentence.

Sorry about this. Its a known issue and is fixed in the beta release of the next Core and User modules. Shall I install them for you?

That doesn't work quite right? When the form is submitted, it does not show an error, asking for the answer to the required field. It just forwards to the home page?
