can't log in to site

Hi, for the past week i've noticed that I can't log into my site. However if i change the password the system will log me in. So currently the only way I can access the site as the admin is to change the password every time...... I'm at the most current (just ran update) level of core and modules... Am i missing something ?

Also when I go to change the password it allows me to enter the same one multiple times, is there a more secure method that will force users to not use the same password as the existing one ??

Have not come across this issue before. How are you changing the password? Presumably via the 'Forgot Password' link?
Maybe try clearing your browser cache and any passwords for the site that it has in memory.

Hi Paul, I've done that cleared all caches, used three different browsers even did it on iphone and ipad all fail. However if I use the email address associated with the account it works, I've not noticed that before, but maybe a senior momment ;-)

Maybe you are entering the wrong user name when logging in? I think its case sensitive. Also be sure that you are not entering the profile name if its different from the user name.
