Profile Admin vs Link user to Profile

Hello,

I have read a lot about how the "user group (Profile Admin)" and the "link user to profile" work.

It seems to me that there are quite the same.

Can someone tell to me the real difference between the two features and when one can be useful over the other?

Please give me a good application (an example of use) of the "Link user to profile" feature because even though a user is not link to a profile but if he/she is a Profile Admin, he/she will still be able to edit/update/upload file to that profile. Isn't the same?

Also, when many users are linked to a specific profile, when they upload a video or audio file, what name will show in the timeline of the profile they are linked to? Will it be the user name of the owner of the profile they are linked to or their own personal name?

Thanks

If a user is a 'Profile Admin' that user can edit/delete ALL site profiles and their content. You would want to give any 'site moderators' this status so that they can help with managing the site etc.

If users are linked to specific profiles, they only have control over those profiles. An instance of this might be when the profile is a band and band members are all users linked to that band/profile so that they can upload gigs etc. The user who uploaded the item will show in the profile timeline.

Hope that helps
