Mogul  Mogul  Mogul

Mogul is a new and stylish skin template for jamroom. With over 200 custom templates, it features CSS3 Animations and a very cool look. As with all our skins, the index page is completely configurable with just a few clicks. Mogul is Site Builder ready and ready to take your site to new heights.

Nice skin! Looks great!

The demo username / password don't seem to be working.

14 May 2016 08:56:07AM @nate:
I'll set it up. Check back in 5.
14 May 2016 10:25:24AM @jimmy:
Sounds good. Love the design... Jamroom needs more of these types of skins. These types will bring the masses to JR. ;-)

I'm hoping. The problem, right now, is no one is buying them. I suppose some need time to get the funds together, but I can't sit here and just make skins all summer without sales. Thanks for your kind words.

Yea, I hear you there on income, gotta make money.

I do my own templates, but after using a bunch of other software and buying a lot of templates on envato, TBH $149 is a shocker - I know you put a lot of hard work into the template, but for a lot of people $149 is a lot. I know on other sites they charge a lower "up front price" and then require a renewal every 6 months. So, in the long run, you'll actually end up making more than $149 on the template. Just a thought, obviously pricing is up to you. But some sales are better than no sales.

14 May 2016 11:35:22AM @nate:
I thought long and hard about the price. There are over 200 templates in these skins. Virtually every module has a custom template. The value is there they just may not understand it. To get a skin made for them like these would either take them weeks to build themselves or cost them 10x as much. There are smarty functions and things no other skin offers.

So I'll be working on marketing. Also, when I shopped last year for a WordPress template, I paid more than 149.

14 May 2016 11:55:47AM @jimmy:
You have some good points. I did a whole template for JR4 and it nearly killed me. I'm building one right now for a project I'm going to launch and it's time intensive.

Marketing for JR is a must. Not enough people realize the power of JR. I try to promote it where I can but everyone is so stuck on WP, which is a shame.

Anyway, good luck with your sales. Great template! Keep up the great work!

Thanks again.

Thinking of buying.....just wondering how installing the template will affect such customisation as I already have. How, for instance will it affect existing SiteBuilder pages?
14 May 2016 12:27:10PM @nate:
It's site builder ready. The link below is a site builder page.

14 May 2016 12:37:39PM @adolygwr:
Does it work ok with sites that have been imported from Ning? I recently brought my site over and have been working on developing new content and manually importing content from the last 18 months on the Ning 3 site which was not archived. Consequently I have done next to nothing to enhance my sites appearance. It desparately needs an overhaul. Here, for instance, is the front page:-

Do you think Mogul would be a good fit for me?

14 May 2016 12:51:58PM @nate:
Well mogul doesn't have the ad space your current skin has, but that's a simple modification. Something I could in a hour or so. I say an hour because I would add it to like 30 module index pages. It would be mostly copy and paste after the first template.

It's not good practice for me to include ad space in templates because they're kinda old school. lol I see less and less except on big sites who can actually turn a profit from them.

Go ahead and get the skin and I'll work with you on whatever modifications you need.

14 May 2016 01:31:38PM @adolygwr:
k....had to nip to the bank. Purchasing now.
14 May 2016 01:32:57PM @nate:
Cool. I'll work with you to get you going.
14 May 2016 01:34:18PM @adolygwr:
k....many thanks. I take it I need to ftp this somewhere?
14 May 2016 01:36:02PM @nate:
No you buy it through you control panel and it will import. Then you just make it active.
14 May 2016 01:36:07PM @adolygwr:
ooops just realiseed I could have got this through the Marketplace. Might have been easier?
14 May 2016 01:36:28PM @nate:
You should go through the skin settings before you make it active.
14 May 2016 01:37:11PM @nate:
You can still import it through there I believe.
14 May 2016 01:44:17PM @adolygwr:
Not seeing a way to do that. How do I import it to the server (I am hosted)?
14 May 2016 01:51:42PM @nate:
It's not showing that you have a license? If not submit a support ticket to the Jamroom team. If they can't help you'll I'll just email it to you. They should be able to guide you.
14 May 2016 01:56:24PM @adolygwr:
Right ok....just got it installed. Looking at the skin settings now.
14 May 2016 02:07:44PM @adolygwr:
I decided to set it as default and see what happens. I love the overall look and am very keen to explore the new layout possibilities that I have BUT I note that the following group page (which I'm working on at the moment) is not displaying correctly.

Also the page is displaying links to other tabs on the authors profile which it should not be doing?

14 May 2016 02:22:18PM @adolygwr:
Should we perhaps communicate via email?
14 May 2016 02:22:35PM @nate:
It looks like there is some html in some of the content. It's a small edit but finding which content ii doing it may be tricky. I'll post an update when I think I've found it.
14 May 2016 05:58:40PM @boplive:
Good choice @adolygwr getting this skin..puts a pop to your site..with the colors and style

Hey N8...just a thought..your new skins are hot and maybe hard to sell right now..but maybe you should look into selling pieces of these custom template of the them how Wordpress calls them..its just hard for someone to let go of the skins they already have and customize to just into another skin and have to learn that skin all over if you do decide to sell pieces which includes a custom template and css file..I believe it will be easy for someone to buy for there skin..remember Oinkba..they did a few custom template for the event/ venue module they sold for about $9.99..which I bought with no problems..cause that's all I needed for my custom skin I had back then...I believe this will also work for you...plugins....just a thought ;)

Oh yeah..I just saw your email..which I will answer :)
