Just want to add that our goal with Jamroom 6 is that it is as easy of an upgrade as going from Jamroom 5.2 to 5.3 - basically "super easy"

The only thing you will want to do slightly different in this case is to make sure and run an INTEGRITY CHECK with "repair modules" checked AFTER you upgrade - this will ensure all the low level DB stuff has been updated properly.

Other than the Timeline template, it should be a very smooth upgrade.

Looking at the Tags module I see this is actually not quite setup right for site builder. Right now there is an existing "item_list.tpl" file that should not be named item_list.tpl - the Core will think that is a template to use in a jrCore_list call (which is what Site Builder uses).

We need to update this module so that template is renamed, and a NEW item_list.tpl file is created that works as the default list template for jrCore_list.

We'll get this fixed up.

Birthday Module

I'm not sure what mean - it already does this. It will say:


So it already includes the USER name in the message. It does not include the PROFILE name in the message since a birthday is attached to the user account - not the profile.

Feel free to modify what is says to suit your needs - customize the "item_action.tpl" file in the jrBirthday module.

You can ignore ANY PHP Notice you see in your error log.

During import from Ning to JR, what happens to attached documents (e.g. pdf files)?

The reason this is happening is that the links INSIDE your items still point to your NING site. You need to run the "Update Base URL" Tool from the ACP -> Ning Import Tools section.


Jamroom cannot transfer items that were NOT on your NING system (of course).
