@mentions are not working ?

Using Jamroom

I just tested here and don't see any issue. What skin are you using?

Using Jamroom

Weird - so you're typing in some text that has a @mention in it, and all that is coming out is the linked profile URL like that?

just got the hosting

Jamroom Hosting

DianeBrooks:
ok i ended up deleting the domain then re-did the install using solo pro...
now it wont let me log in. I even tried re-doing a new password and it still wont let me log in
and I can no longer get my mail at freebyrd.org since i switched nameservers...should i keep my powweb nameservers on the list along with the jamroom nameservers?
i had the 2 step authentication set on jamroom and now i cant get to mail to get code.

so discouraged right now...at my self

If you DELETE a domain, and then recreate the domain, you will need to CREATE your admin account again. When you delete a domain on hosting it deletes EVERYTHING for that domain - all the Jamroom files, the database, etc.

So just go here:

http://freebyrd.org/

and click on "signup" - the first account created is the master admin account.

Need to tweak a customization of Index/main page Timeline "comments".

Using Jamroom

I've been testing this here this morning and am unable to reproduce this on 6.1, so my feeling is this is likely already fixed. When I get some time this coming week I will see if I can confirm that by putting some debug in on your system and let you know.

Thanks!

ffmpeg issue revisited (nearer a solution)

Using Jamroom

I've done some fairly in depth testing to day on really large video files (2G+) and have encountered some issues when running on a slower system (with a hard disk instead of SSD). Basically when JR goes to copy the file from the tmp upload cache out to the media directory, it could take longer than 30 seconds and time out on PHP's side.

I didn't see it on a 1G video file, but on a 2.8G video file it would fail every time. I'm not sure if this is related to your issue, but I have fixed this in the next Core (6.1.0b4) and Video module (2.0.0b2) releases which will be out soon.

VideoJS

Jamroom Developers

There's no technical reason for it to not work. Jamroom provides the stream and image URLs, so you just need to hook the player up to grab those and display them.

VideoJS is nice - that was not an option for us when we picked JPlayer. JPlayer still works however - although it does not have support for the more advanced features you are looking for.

would I have to transfer my domain

Jamroom Hosting

DianeBrooks:
ok next question...
the new lower priced plans arent listed yet so how would i go about ordering?
i may be able to get some funds for it today or tomorrow.

The lowest price hosting plan we offer is the $39 12G option - I have a feeling you are looking at a very old post or blog entry when we used to have a $19 plan.

Large video hosting on JR site

Installation and Configuration

Xephius:
Ok, :)

I upgraded the server, I noticed everything seemed to upgrade but the cores are still at 2, and the max size for uploads also did not change. Do you need to make any adjustments on the other side for that to take effect?

John

You're at 4 cores now, with 8 Gigs RAM. When I am back in the office tomorrow morning I can get a special config in to your server that will allow uploads up to 3 gigs, and I will let you know.

Thanks!

Large video hosting on JR site

Installation and Configuration

Oh yeah that is a large file - that's going to take some time for conversion. You'd definitely want to upgrade to the next level server - with 8G RAM I'd be comfortable handling that large of a file.
