Group Search for Profile Display

Design and Skin Customization

Thanks! -And does clicking on each group avatar thumbnail take you to that particular group page?...the way it does with the "Latest followers' pix?- that'd certainly be an easy boost to get folks to join groups!

Two Nings combine into one JR site?

Ning To Jamroom

Yes, that's what I said Paul- the .csv memberdata file. Deb could use those to identify duplicate members once she combines the .csv files data from both Ning 2 networks.

Two Nings combine into one JR site?

Ning To Jamroom

When you download the ning 2.0 CSV memberdata info, those files will open in Excel. You could easily combine both into 1 excel file and then use the Excel filters to find duplicates including member name or email address.

can't login to server

Jamroom Hosting

Cad, if you are using Filezilla, go to your Filezilla 'site manager' settings and make sure that under "user" you put: jamroom
That one tripped me up for a while.

Older Smileys not working?

Design and Skin Customization

I installed the JR Smily module and then gathered up a whole bunch of emoticons from various places online and added them in myself. Use google image search for terms like "emoticon gif", "animated smiley", etc. I have about about 150 emoticons available for my members, and about half are animated. This way, you are the one uploading them and the URL is then correct and the text editor seems to know and include them when the user clicks on the smiley button. I simply couldn't live with a lame selection of only 6 or 8 measley smilies! lol

Ok, I'll revisit the second issue after the new release is applied. Thanks!

Admin items still not seen in activity feed by members

Using Jamroom

Well, if you look on my Home/index page, You'll see in the main timeline when I posted a RESPONSE to a discussion in a forum that I created (the thread about AOL addresses). But it does not show when I actually CREATED that new forum discussion an hour before I responded to it. That action doesn't show up at all in the Timeline. (and as it is now you'll have to be logged in as an admin to see this)

Note- I have my site set so that when anyone 'follows' anyone else it does NOT show in the Timeline...nor does when anyone Comments on someone's profile page. Maybe it's something to do with that?, though I woudln't think so.

Admin items still not seen in activity feed by members

Thanks Paul, so glad it is getting fixed! :)

Will this other variation be fixed as well?:
"Additional related issue: when logged in as master admin, I see in the timeline when I post a RESPONSE to my own forum discussion...but it won't show up when I CREATE a forum discussion. Yet I can see when a regular member creates a new forum discussion. Thus, when i create a new forum discussion, I need to then immediately reply to it to get it to show up on the activity Timeline at all."

Thanks so much...
