Events Listing the wrong way round again in Ningja

Using Jamroom

Hmmm...wouldn't pretty much EVERYONE want events that are associated with a calendar to be listed in the order of which events are coming up soonest first, and events later down the road to be listed towards the bottom?

simple question: limiting number of attachments/images in posts

Using Jamroom

I like to allow members to attach or embed images or other files to their foum posts on my site- in fact it's essential! That's why i love the Editor modules that give me the wysiwyg text boxes.

However, I have certain instances of people who go overboard adding too many photos to their forum posts. I begins to dominate everything to see 6 photos in a row in one post.
Where/how can I set a limit for the number of attached items in a forum post, like say 3 image limit per post? This would send a subtle message and discourage such excess enthusiasm.
Thanks....

Profile info tabs and name still showing up when clicking "ALL" Group discussions

Using Jamroom

Then, if I click on the link to show "All" discussions in the group, it takes me to this page, where suddenly the name of the person who created the group and all their personal content tabs are splashed across the whole top of the page...when it really should be the Group name or something instead. See screenshot. Using ningja skin.

This presents a problem especially for my site because I have created 90% of the 60 odd groups, and will continue to be the one who cretaes groups. It just looks dopey to me to have my name and personal content tabs be the biggest honkin' thing on the page when people go to browse all the discussions in my site's Groups. Too 'in yer face'. ;) Please help?

Profile info tabs and name still showing up when clicking "ALL" Group discussions

Using Jamroom

Not sure where the thread is that I posted this in a while back, but I'm still having a bit of a problem with this.

When I am signed in as a regular member...
I click on the main GROUPS link, and then click to a particular Group.
On the Group's main page, all is well...see this first screenshot:

No ability to just delete a discussion in a Forum ?

Using Jamroom

When as admin I am in a Group, I get the trashcan icon to delete any group discussion.
When in a Forum category and I click on a discussion, I'm not getting a trash can or an "edit" gear icon...I only get the 'follow' icon. I can quickly delete individual posts in a Forum discussion one by one, but not the whole discussion OR the original post...from the discussion location.
I could have sworn we had that ability before... did it get wiped out somehow or was never there?
Need to quickly be able to delete a whole discussion in the Forum section of my site.

Thank you!

simple question on deleting content

Using Jamroom

Ning doesn't let you go into any servers of course, and they won't even tell you what your site storage limit is...above which they will demand more money. They also said vaguely that files and pages were stored 'somewhere' for a period of time after you delete them...
It is all very creepy/corporate/tight-lipped over there. That's why we find Jamroom to be so refreshing! :)

simple question on deleting content

Using Jamroom

No, I'm not having that problem- I just want to know how it works, and if the files get dumped off my server by simply deleting the post or discussion they are attached or embedded to...from the JR acp/admin side of things.

simple question on deleting content

Using Jamroom

Just want to be sure-
Once certain of my site's forum categories get bloated with outdated discussions - when i do occasional housekeeping and delete Forum or Group discussions from within my ACP jamroom side- will all the embedded and attached images, mp3s, gifs, etc that people had added to their posts all be deleted OFF my Jamroom server? I need to know this because I sure don't want to be storing and hosting all that stuff ACCUMULATING and hogging space forever.
My members love to attach photos and music clips etc to their posts. Sometimes too much.

Want to be sure I don't have to search those files out on my server to remove them- they all just truly go POOF and are off my server when I simply delete the discussion or post when I'm in my site as admin?

Video content box module on profile pages must coordinate or change...

Using Jamroom

OMG that would be TERRIFIC!

Do you mean you are going to actually set those showcase boxes to show COMBINED videos- on both the profile page versions and the MainPage.Index page version as well? That would make me SOOOOOOOO HAAPPPPPYYYYY! :D

(p.s. what do you call those boxes anyway, if not modules? ...so I don't cause confusion when referring to them)
