Which browsers and browser versions are compatible with which versions of JR?

Using Jamroom

Have you asked this member what kind of device he is viewing from? (a phone, a tablet, PC, mac, iOS, laptop...?) Also- a recent version of Safari?
What is meant by "cannot view his Profile page properly" ? What's not showing properly? Does part of the profile page load, or is it a 'page not found' or blank? Does he see any error messages? Can he view it properly via other browsers? Can he view the rest of the site ok in Safari?
I suspect this kind of info is helpful in order to get effective solutions.

Where to find newest Ninja code change as described in changelog?

Using Jamroom

Ah, no wonder I couldn't find it-
I have no sitebuilder folder in my custom skin, and I don't use Sitebuilder.

So question: I'm assuming that I can just update Ninja but not worry about then transferring that tweak to my custom skin at all...right? If I ignore it, then I won't have any issue with "Latest Forum Posts links not pointing to the correct profile"- UNLESS I was using Sitebuilder?

(btw I DID apply the new tablet wrapper fix to tablet_core.css, I had no problem updating that over to my custom skin)

Where to find newest Ninja code change as described in changelog?

Using Jamroom

Hi,
I've looked around a bunch, but i can't find the right template where the latest Ninja change was made, so i can transfer the code to my custom skin. Can you please advise which ninja skin template it's found in?
Here's the description:

Ninja Skin changelog
Version 2.0.5:
- Bug Fix: Latest Forum Posts links not pointing to the correct profile

Thanks!

Using Chat Feature With And Android Tablet

Using Jamroom

first- Have you made sure you are logged in when checking? I don't think Chat shows to non-logged in users.
second- Have you looked on your tablet at this location?: (yoursite).com/chat/mobile ...that's where the mobile version of chat resides for me.
If you see your chat working there at that url, you may have to put a more prominent link somewhere in your MOBILE header links menu that takes members there. I solved my tablet chat link issue by a different means- by switching to the phone type mobile menu (called the hamburger style menu) for my site's skin's TABLET versions. In that phone menu style, there was a link to the mobile chat url, set up already in the user's dropdown menu link choices.. Not having the links bar across the top of every page saves space on tablets and my members seem to like that. Most folks are familiar with the hamburger phone style menu these days anyhow.

How to keep who's following who from timeline?

Using Jamroom

Zachary Moonshine:
i am using the celebrity skin and do not see that tpl

Maybe try looking for something directly in your (jrAction) Timeline module's: index.tpl then? ...since you don't seem to have a skin over-ride template for it.

Trouble in substituting Vimeo image

Using Jamroom

Ok, I did this by crawling around slowly on my knees in my skin templates....but I think i got it all done! =8-o

After adding the code for video_thumbnail with a max height of 90px to my skin's image.css file, ....

....I then added "video_thumbnail" to the tail end of "class = "iloutline img_scale..."
in my following existing custom SKIN templates:
combined_video_list
profile_index_video
item_list
jrVimeo_item_list
and
index.tpl (in the 'embedded templates' section for videos)

that seems to have limited the size of that oversized Vimeo image to no more than 90px height in the various places I have looked where video thumbnails are displayed in either lists or grids. Best of all my site's Video page now looks normal again without "Reuben's Train" messing up the grid: http://fotmd.com/video

Looks way better, and if that member keeps posting more vids in the same way (and most member videos DON'T present this problem), it won't disrupt how the video sections look anymore.

Whew!
Took a little time but I guess I learned one or two things. Frankly I'm amazed I didn't blow up my whole site in the process. Definitely used up a few of my remaining brain cells though.
=8-0 ;D

Marking this solved now. Thanks for your patient help, Douglas and Michael!

Trouble in substituting Vimeo image

Using Jamroom

D'oh, it doesn't seem to do the job where I need it too, the ultra-tall Vimeo thumbnail remains too tall both on my site's main Videos link page:
http://fotmd.com/video
...and also it remains too tall in the video widget on my site's Home/Index page in the right column:
http://fotmd.com/

HOWEVER, the suggested code changes DID indeed squash the height of the Vimeo thumbnail on the member's Profile page video list, see top video here:
http://fotmd.com/steve-battarbee/video
So it helped partially- on the member's profile page video list.

Now I need to do the same for my site's Home page video list and the site's main Video page.

------------
What I did so far:

Here is the code I adjusted in my skin's jrVimeo_item_list.tpl:
<a href="{$jamroom_url}/{$item.profile_url}/{$murl}/{$item._item_id}/{$item.vimeo_title_url}"><img src="{$item.vimeo_artwork_url}" class="iloutline img_scale vimeo_thumbnail"></a>

and here is the code I added to my skin's image.css file:
}

.vimeo_thumbnail {
    max-height: 90px;
}
