Using Chat Feature With And Android Tablet

Using Jamroom

I received some reports that chat was not accessible using and Android Tablet. I dragged mine ( an absolute dinosaur) out and sure enough....can't see chat and it is not in the menu.
I'm using Follow Me.
Anybody?

Contact Form Spam

Using Jamroom

Thanks guys. Kinda what I thought. I battle it everyday with the WordPress sites I manage. Since our migration is still fairly recent, I have this form set to help those with login issues....therefore they do not have to be logged in to use it.

Contact Form Spam

Using Jamroom

I'm beginning to get quite a lot of contact form spam. I'm using the Simple Form feature. I added the "Human Check" box and marked it as required...still getting the spam. What else can I do? Anyone?
Thanks!

Hyperlink Default Color

Using Jamroom

Most of the activity is on the forum. And any color is fine...probably blue...since most folks recognize blue font as a link.
Thanks, Michael!

Hyperlink Default Color

Using Jamroom

I'm using the Follow Me Skin (pretty much) out of the box. The font color within a hyperlink defaults to the same color as all other type. Some of my geezer members are complaining. How can I change this? I know the poster can change the hyperlink font color when they create the hyperlink. Hoping there's a way to have it default to something that stands out more.
Thanks!

Sending Private Messages To Multiple Users

Using Jamroom

Strumelia:
Jeff, I made a Private Group where my moderators and I can discuss site issues privately. It works really well for me. I can create permanent group 'Pages' for my Mods there too, with templates on how to handle certain typical situations that come up regularly (like how to properly disable/hide a profile without deleting it... til I can take a look at the problem). In the Mod Group, I have a Comment Wall for general quickie chatter, and we can also create Discussions for specific subjects that need in depth input.
With a private Group for admins, you can keep certain helpful info and instructions there permanently for their use. It provides a good place for admins to figure out what to do in certain situations, and a place to vent privately.
You do want to test it first though, to make sure you've in fact made it 'private'...by logging in as a regular member who's not a member of that private group to make double sure the posts in it cannot be seen by regular members. ;)

This is very helpful, Strumeilia. I'm going to create my private group now. Thank you!

paul:
Private Notes only allows one recipient at a time.
Maybe use the Chat module for backend communication with your admins? You can set up private channels. This works pretty well for us, the Jamroom Team, and it has the advantage that its in real time!!
hth

Thanks, Paul. That works for us as well when we are all present on the site.
