3 NING sites to 1 Jamroom Questions
07/20/16 07:48:12AM, by Keith Mauck
I need some clarification on what we need to do to have 3 NING forums, successfully migrated to 1 Jamroom site. I plan on continuing the use of the current 3 domain names for some time--they will map to a new JR forum. In past threads you told me that each new NING group could become a category in the JR forum, that sounds good. A few more questions. 1. Do I need 3 separate JR profiles for each NING site I plan on migrating? You can see the tabs at ShaleForum.com for the sites, when they...

NING Member emails extraction?
09/15/16 02:33:44PM, by BenArion
Hi! I would love to move to JAMROOM in the future, and I wonder if the "Jam Room Staff" would be able to help me to extract the "emails" from the NING member CSV file, so I can upload it to MailChimp or Constant Contact etc or any other email service? and even SYNC my newly added members with a "MAIL PROVIDER"?
Ning To Jamroom Made Easier
03/24/15 07:49:15AM, by derrickhand300
Something I have been thinking about lately... On Ning 2.0 we choose from a selection of Ning themes then customize them the way we want...we have access to that code in the Ning-Advanced tabs in our editors there Why can we not use that code as a skin for Jamroom sites right off- then use the DOCs to add the Site Builder to a custom skin? Not sure if this could be done directly- or if it would involve importing your Ning content to JrNingja- THEN making the custom changes using the Ning...
Migrate from Ning to Jamroom
10/15/14 06:23:47AM, by musicianband
As currently Ning platform is undergoing changes and the future of old ning 2.0 sites system may be questionable, as their will no longer allow media on their new 3.0 system, such as music or videos, maybe helping ning sites administrators with some ideas, hints, tutorials about how they can eventually migrate from Ning to Jamroom could have as an outcome new people interested in using this great platform, Jamroom. Also a tool / module / good tutorial which will make migration easier and...

Looking to migrate a Ning network
02/21/16 01:40:33PM, by paul71
Greetings We are actively seeking a better, more stable and more supported option for our 13000 member Ning 2.0 network at (Offsite URL Removed). Could I ask a couple of questions that I haven't immediately been able to answer from looking around this site? 1. Is there a detailed list of what is and what is not migrated when a Ning network is imported into Jamroom? 2. Specifically to add to question 1, would the 'likes' within group posts be retained? We have a very important ranking system...

A Tip Nicked From Ning Creators
01/26/16 08:43:24PM, by Ceri
Use the FB send button for signing up new members! This originally appeared on Ning creators...all it needs to work on JR are the literal tags. Here is a page which has it loaded:- https://americymru.net/event You will need to get the send button code for your site from this address:- https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/send-button And the code is below <div id="fb-root"></div> <p>{literal}</p> <script>// <

Featuring - can be better than Ning
11/13/14 11:39:54AM, by Ken Rich
The NingNova2 skin I am running (thanks to Paul) has an innovation that with just a couple of tweaks, would be "the bomb" for featuring, and no former Ning user would ever miss that aspect. In fact, what I'm suggesting would automate the process, help monetize the site, and look very similar to the old Ning view we are used to. On the top of this page there is a row of four spaces, and tabs for featured content http://indiegospel.net It is possible to have the content which displays be...
