Exporting a Jamroom Site

Applies to: Jamroom 7.0+ Last verified: 2026-10-24
  • What it does

The Jamroom plugin exports the Jamroom site the Exporter is installed on: its members and their items, ready to merge into another Jamroom site.

  • Plugin Config

Choose Jamroom as the Active Plugin, save, then open Plugin Config:

    Setting What it does
Map Quota (ID) One for each quota on this site: the quota ID on the target site its profiles go to. 0 leaves that quota's profiles out.
Export Specific Profiles Profile IDs, comma separated, to export only those. Blank exports all.
Merged Tag Optional text added to every exported profile, user and item, so you can find them on the target site later
Unique Export ID A 4-digit number for this export. If you merge several sites into one, give each a different number. It keeps their items apart.
  • Creating the files

On Create JSON Files, choose what to export in Export Selected Items, and start. A window shows the progress.

The list shows Export members (profiles and their users) and the item types this site has, from: blogs, events, galleries, Flickr, audio, SoundCloud, videos, YouTube, Vimeo, groups, group discussions, group pages, pages, guestbooks, forums, discussions, files, photo albums, playlists, polls, store items, tags, followers, likes and comments.

  • Not exported

    • Timeline entries
    • Anything from a module not in the list above, including your own modules
