Setting it up

  • Before you start

    • Back up the target site. An import adds many profiles and items, and there's no undo. See DB and System Backup.
    • Check the disk space. The import downloads every media file.
    • Create the JSON files on the source site first. See Setting Up the Exporter.

  • Setting it up

    Install Importer from the Marketplace (beta channel) on the site you're importing into. In ACP > Modules > Tools > Importer > Global Config:

    Setting What it does
    Source Site The full address of the site with the Exporter and its JSON files, such as https://oldsite.com. Needed even when it's this site.
    Site Access Key The same key as the Exporter's Site Access Key
    Queue Items Imports items in the background, through the queue, instead of at once (default: off). Members are always imported at once.

    Save. Import JSON Files then lists the files on the source site.
