Editor Embedded Media

Applies to: Jamroom 7.0+ Last verified: 2026-10-24
  • What it does

Editor Embedded Media adds an Embed Local Media button to the text editor used in blog posts, forum posts, pages and other places. It puts items from the site into the text: an audio or video player, an image gallery, a file download, a poll, and so on. It comes with Jamroom.

ACP > Modules > Forms > Editor Embedded Media

  • Using it

    1. In the editor, click the Embed Local Media button.
    2. A window opens with a tab for each kind of item that can be embedded. Find the item and click Embed this Media.
    3. A tag such as [jrEmbed module="jrAudio" id="30"] goes into the text where the cursor was. When the page is shown, the tag becomes the player or item.

These modules can be embedded, when they're active:

    • Audio, Video, Files and Image Galleries
    • Photo Albums, Playlists, Polls and Item Bundles
    • YouTube, Vimeo, SoundCloud and Flickr
    • uploaded images, with Editor Image Upload

The tags are turned into players by the Convert Embed Tags text formatter, which is on for new installs. If tags show as plain text, check that it is on in the quota's text formatters. See What is a Text Formatter?.
