Jamroom adds its own functions to Smarty. Each is a single tag with parameters:
{jrCore_list module="jrBlog" order_by="_created desc" limit="5"}Most functions accept assign="name": instead of showing the result, they put it in {$name} for later use.
| Function | What it does |
|---|---|
| {jrCore_list} | Lists items from a module |
| {jrCore_image} | Shows a skin or module image |
| {jrCore_file_type_image} | Shows an icon for a file type |
| {jrCore_item_create_button} | The "create" button of a module |
| {jrCore_item_list_buttons} | The buttons for an item in a list |
| {jrCore_module_url} | The URL of a module |
| {jrCore_module_function} | Runs a module's function only if the module is active |
| {jrCore_counter}, {jrCore_get_count} | Count events, and read counts |
| {jrCore_lang} | Shows a language string |
| {jrCore_media_player} | Shows a media player |
| {jrProfile_menu} | The profile menu |
| {jrUser_online_status} | Who is online |
Modules add more, such as {jrImage_display} (Image Support). A module's own functions are in its include.php or lib/smarty.php, named smarty_function_....
Templates also have variables, written {$name}, such as {$jamroom_url} (your site's address) and, on profile pages, {$profile_name}. {debug} lists them.
