I changed the JR skin to NewLucid, but I cannot see any menus, user activity on the front page nor user profiles.

The Lucid skin is designed around being a blogging community, so does not have those module sections that are of interest to users coming from Ning. If you wanted to, you can add them in, or if you're willing to hold out for just a little bit longer we are almost done with our "NingJa" custom skin that has been designed specifically for Ning migrations - I think you'll find it setup much closer to what you want. Watch the Ning To Jamroo profile and we'll be releasing that shortly.
