I have just taken the privacy off of the new Jamroom Cloud profile here, so everyone can see it. Jamroom Cloud is brand new, and over the next couple of days I will be filling out the profile here and getting things setup.

Thanks!

Not yet - I will have stuff coming online this week. We ended up rolling out the new site design here (which included Jamroom Cloud) a week earlier than we had planned, so the profile here is a bit "behind". If there's anything specific let me know. I'll be doing the install documentation first since I think you're probably looking to get the conversion server setup, so I'll make sure that gets covered.

Hope this helps!

Ya, I'll probably start with conversion server first; although there is a lot of good stuff in there suite so eventually want to try to install and test it all.

With regards to the conversion server, aside from install, my key concerns are:

1. making sure that my custom modules can hook into the workflow the same way they currently do
2. I have some additional media processing modules that leverage the worker cues: e.g. BPM detection,
Key detection,
waveform image generation,
and file movement.

I would like to see how i can use the conversion to execute other tasks. If you can provide some guidance on leveraging the conversion server to execute/offload other high cpu tasks, that would be EXTREMELY helpful.

Sure -

The good news is that the Conversion Worker actually utilizes the conversion functions as found in the Audio and Video modules, so if you are already hooking into the conversion process as it exists, that will continue to function exactly the same on the conversion worker.

The only part that would not be covered right now is if you are creating any additional files during the conversion process (i.e. outside the files created already by the audio/video modules), then right now those files would not be copied back to the Jamroom server and placed into the appropriate media directories.

I have a feeling your BPM detection and Key detection are just adding additional keys to the datastore (i.e. info - no file), but the waveform image generation must be producing an image - that file right now would not be copied back to the Jamroom server.

That data transfer is actually already functionalized, but would need to be accessible to your developers, so I will check that out out.

Hope this helps!

It's outlined here on the front page:

its not streaming related.

Hope this helps!
