Hi Dubmusic Productions

I have just bought the THE SCIENTIST DIGITAL SQUAWKY HI PASS / LO PASS
FILTER
via paypal, but haven't received a download link in my account or via
email.
Please can you look into this i have attach my receipt from paypal
confirming payment.


there is no file under files profile

What about the users "Your Purchases" tab?

It can be found in the "Account Settings"

Is the file there?

Log in to foxycart admin and go to the 'payment' tab, should be a "live servers" and "test servers"

I don't use foxy cart , I only use the pay pal module , it was always working , I hope the new pay pal module Brian is working on don't use foxycart

How are you determining that you've sold an item?

I've looked through your entire activities log and do see any entries about selling an item.

Again, I did NOT see any entries in your activities log about a purchase.

I did a test and paid a file and pay pal redirected me to http://www.dubmusic.com/paypal/downloads/profile_id=545/user_id=333

but there was no file

Is user studio637 the one that made the purchase or is that your test purchase?

Also, was that file in studio637 downloads already there before the purchase, or is it just showing the wrong date?

Nothing has changed with the paypal module since 08 Dec 2015 so if this started happening after that date, then something must have changed somewhere.

We'll recheck the module from here. You should check your paypal for any errors or notices.

yep, thats a good thought. If that was the case though, it wouldn't have 'just started' happening. It was working, then it stopped, nothing changed in the module, maybe something changed in the server (ask the server company about that one), maybe paypal changed something.

Servers don't change the way they work unless something changed. We need to figure out what changed.

The most likely scenario is paypal is not sending a message to your server to tell jamroom that the file has been sold. If that was happening, there would be an entry in the activity log.

It would be either:
jrPayPal: processing incoming transaction:
or
jrPayPal: invalid notification received in webhook

If neither of those are in your activity log, paypal did not tell jamroom that an item was sold.

If thats the case, check if you have an IPN set at paypal pointing to the wrong url.

Edit Instant Payment Notification (IPN) settings
Error Message

You must enter a properly formatted URL into the Notification URL field in order to activate Instant Payment Notification.

PayPal sends IPN messages to the URL that you specify below.

To start receiving IPN messages, enter the notification URL and select Receive IPN messages below. To temporarily stop receiving IPN messages, select Do not receive IPN messages below. PayPal continues to generate and store IPN messages until you select Receive IPN messages again (or turn off IPN).

The IPN url should be off. The correct url should be being sent to paypal along with the order.

Quote: ....PayPal continues to generate and store IPN messages until you select Receive IPN messages again

Do you see any stored messages in that area?

If you wanted to try turning that on to a fixed URL, then the url would be:

yes it does, its supposed to be blank, its for paypal, not for a person to look at.

These types of issues are the reason we chose to use FoxyCart. They take care of the integration with the payment processors so we dont have to fix things everytime paypal changes something.

I'm still working to get a development environment setup to debug this issue.

I still knows there has to be away for jr5 to have a pay pal cart and give user the choice between foxy cart VS pay pal ,and we all knows who is gonna win wish is pay pal... I never had any issues with pay pal using Jamroom 4 , with my type of brain I refuse to see only foxy cart is king , they are thousands of E Commerce sites that uses pay pal with no issues and they don't use foxy cart .......

I have used the pay pal buy it now to sell other goods so I knows it can be done, i.e. like tickets , electronic hard ware , take orders and more using the buy it now button and it worked , I know this sounds crazy but I did it and it worked , with your guys help it can be much better...

Mather of a fact, the buy it now button to sell merchandise and other goods been under everyone's nose from day one and it is so easy to do, I just need the IPN to work again like it been working....

I even use it to pay my self , receive and send money as payment or gift and much more using the pay pal buy it now button... We even use it to sell subscriptions and need you guys help to make the cookie expire blocking the user ..

I am waiting on some money and I can use the pay pal buy it now button to receive the money as payments ,

I use the pay pal buy it now button to sell services to client, I can even use it to receive and send money to any one on my site including male or female escort services all done with the pay pal buy it now button...

There is rely no limit what you can sell with the pay pal buy it now button..

I have one client who pays me monthly and it is all done with the pay pal buy it now button , I know this sound like a joke guys , but it is 100 % gospel truth using the pay pal buy it now button ..

I use the pay pal buy it now button so other members can pay another members on my site all done with the pay pal buy it now button

The other day I was out on a date , and my date wanted to give me some money for making her feel so good , but we were pressed for time on the 405 freeway to L.A.X to catch her flight and we could not stop to go find an ATM machine ,and the pay pal buy it now button came to the rescue in the middle of rush hour traffic, we never even hat to get out of the car for her to show me some appreciation .. The issue is related to Paypal not sending the IPN notification, make sure you have that set to send at paypal.

Foxycart supports paypal. ( so we don't have to, but since we built this extra module, now we have to support it. :( )

Looking in your ACP you have may modules in there that I suspect are not being used. I turned off the "Proxima" set of modules which are for mobile app developers to use jamroom as a data storage system. It doesnt look like thats the goal of your site.

You have Genosis which is a family tree system and the old version of site builder.

Suggest a clean up to remove modules not being used.

When I ran a test from a live sever on jamroom hosting, the IPN notification did come in from the sandbox.paypal.com system indicating communication.

I am using the module to sell services , I would up load the receipt for the buyer to download , (Male Escort Service $500 for 12 hours) we would get the service/ shipping info from pay pal , and use the pay pal module to calculate the shipping fees .... In the comment section is where you describe what you are selling

((Male Escort Service $500 for 12 hours)), or say I want to receive crowd funding , I would set up say $10, $20 $50 ,up to say $1000 , the user would decide how much they wanna donate for the crowd funding , they would download a thank you , a mp3, what ever you want to give them in return for donating .....

You can sell whatever you want to sell doing it this way, you could have some one just pay you money this way ,and do all the things I described in this thread ...

This is how I bypass using foxy cart and is why I know Brian must bring back a pay pal module shopping cart instead of foxy cart, foxy cart is no good for Jamroom ..

@ this point I am not sure I even need a next module to sell anything

I think if you can hold out for a bit longer, Brian is working on a new payment module, not sure when it will be released but it should work with FoxyCart, PayPal and I think a couple of other payment gateways.

As long as there is no monthly charges then it is OK...
Foxy cart monthly charges , + transaction fees, + pay pal's transaction fees, is not good for Jamroom
