Moving from WP Job Site to Jamroom

As an old-time user of Jamroom I am interested in moving a niche job listing site over to Jamroom (most jobs can be discarded as out of date) but keeping the custom post type structure (Job Title, City, Rating). I think it lends itself to a community type board & that JR could be a good option.

Is anyone else running a job listing site on Jamroom?
Are there any home made import scripts lying around for updating the DB data
Any discounts you can get me as an old timer Brian?
Just to note I'm still on JBServers, and DJ reckons he is able to support it!

Thanks

Sarah

Hi - Don't know of any job listing Jamroom sites offhand, so hopefully another user has one? But what you describe should be pretty straightforward with JR.

If you want to import DB data checkout the Jamroom Exporter/Importer modules. These have been designed to bring third party DB data into a Jamroom site, though it is via CSV files so there would be a certain amount of work exporting the source database to CSV, then formatting it.

We offer old Jamroom customers $50 discount on our Premium package and $100 discount on our Professional package - https://www.jamroom.net/products
Alternatively, checkout our Hosted packages where you'd get access to all Jamroom modules and skins for as many domains as you want (provided they reside on one of our servers).

Hope this helps

Haha it was Brian who made me loyal to DJ @ JBservers, I'm afraid... we have a 12 year working relationship now :o

The $100 off pro sounds VERY tempting. Have a couple of templates in the marketplace that may work, so may try with open source first, will need the members module, then upgrade ASAP.

Thanks, Paul. I know this can be done, and I think Jamroom is the plaform for it (check out the WP - iCrewz com currently just a little bit of a buggy job board but think it's crying out to be a community)
