Glitch with Private Groups

I just discovered a little glitch concerning Private Groups.
I have a Private group for me and my moderators to discuss site issues and problem members. Obviously it's set up so that our post don't show on the main page activity feed timeline for all the members to see (!).

Usually we 7 moderators don't bother 'liking' our own discussions in that small intimate group, which is why I never noted this glitch before.
A few days ago, one of my Mods 'liked' a new thread I created in our private group, and I noticed that her Like action was posted on the site's main page Timeline for all to see. Our posts in that thread did not showup, but her Like did. I removed the item from the timeline.
Today i created a new thread in our PRIVATE group, and then I 'liked' it as a test.
Here is what shows up to me on the Home page as master admin: (see screenshot)

Next, i logged OUT and then logged in as a regular member (named Lulu) to see whether I could see the same thing.
Weirdly, this is what I see when logged in as a regular member, and also when logged out altogether:

Neither of these Likes should be appearing on the Home page Timeline at all, in any form or embodiment.

I'm thinking that the best way for you to resolve this is at a template level. It's not straightforward to do this within the modules. It would add extra options that would not be required by most other users.
What I suggest is just adding code to the GroupDiscuss template(s) that test for a private group and if true, don't show the like buttons.
Let me know and I'll check it out for you.
