solved question on new Password RESET button

I see the new button for doing that and auto sending the member a notice.

I just want to know though- can we still change a member's password as admin like we used to be able to, and by not using the new button- rather by typing it in and saving in the usual fields... WITHOUT them getting a notification? (it's always handy for disabling access to troublesome members without removing their content... change their pw and then log them out, and they can't log in with their old pw)
I see the old pw fields are still there, but if we do that I just want to be sure the member does not get a notification that their pw was changed.

I just tested this on my dev site.

I changed a password for a user and I'm not seeing any emails being sent for the password change.

Hope this helps!

Thanks Douglas!
I just wonder though- if I try testing this on my own site, using 'test members' I've created- would the system maybe not send out a notice because it 'knows' those members were created by me (an admin) ? I had that issue once before with some detail that I can't remember now- the system didn't respond the same when i did something with my test member, as it would if I did something with a real member that i had not created.
I imagine it's hard to get someone to go along with this test because it would expose them (however briefly) to my being able to read their private messages.

I've just changed the password of an account that was created by the user (not admin) and no email was sent.
