I am not sure if this is related to the recent CORE change but I have noticed on both my networks that email notifications are no longer using HTML even though that option is checked.

It is easily reproducible by sending test emails. What could be causing this?

I'm not seeing any issues here on any of my systems. Note that sending a TEST email will tell you if HTML notifications are on:

this is the test email message

HTML notifications are enabled

Hi Brian,

Yes, that is what I am seeing but I don't recall ever seeing that before.
My recollection is that a header with my logo used to go out, based on a HTML template.
Am I thinking of something else or is this a change that was recently implemented?

Previously the "test email" function only ever sent email in plain text - the recent Mail Support module updates now shows you if you have HTML email enabled. If you see "HTML notifications are enabled" in your test message then you're good - your regular emails will include the header/footer. So this is working correctly.

No worries - there's a number of new changes and updates in JR7 so you may see some things you're not used to seeing.
