Jamroom Core 5.2.9 - update to Tiny MCE 4

I wanted to post a real quick message to everyone about the Jamroom 5.2.9 update - this one tool is a little bit longer to get together than normal, as we ended up integrating TinyMCE 4 into the core, which is a big upgrade from the old TinyMCE 3. This is great as it allows us to be on the currently stable version of TinyMCE and continue to get bug fixes and updates. It also has a nicer "theme" for it, so it should go better with a wide variety of skins .

So just a heads up that the editor will look a little different now, but it should still function the same, and the Embed and Smiley modules have also been updated to work with the new release.

Please let us know if you have any questions or see any issues.

Thanks!

Thanks Brian :)

For anyone currently developing their site using the IpsumJam module please check this thread:

I'll get an update out to work with 5.2.9 as soon as possible.

Would be good to include a 'clear formatting' button in TinyMC, if that is an option. Many WYSIWYG editors have one.

Often you copy paste something from another webpage and all the old unwanted formatting sticks.

Its possible in tinymce too:

Whether thats needed for everybody though....?

--edit--
The way I remove formats is to paste it into a text editor first, copy again then paste that. format gone.

If you'd like to add that button, you can modify the "form_editor.tpl" file in the system core and add that in as outlined in the StackOverflow question Michael linked to.

Hope this helps!
