Regarding Stream Pay Listners

I understand the principle of this module and the No price = Full length stream.
I want to create a subscription for listners to pay a monthly subscription to stream all site content.
I am getting a little confused how to achieve this aim.
I can create a subscription okay so do I create another quota and then upload all the artists tracks to that?

A user can only be in one quota at a time.

Your subscription should change the listener from the 'standard' to the 'all inclusive' quota.

The standard quota will only be able to play limited length songs or x songs per month or however you want to set that up.

The 'all inclusive' quota won't have that limit placed on them.

The customer will pay to be moved from one quota to the other for a certain period of time then once that finishes they will be automatically returned to the other quota.

So Would I be right thinking that I set 2 quotas up ?
1. I upload the tracks and allow downloads and have a price on that allows preview length stream.
2. I upload the tracks again to a streaming quota , with no price on the tracks, this will allow full length stream.
Have a subscription plan that allows entry to the streaming quota, they need to login again to access the download quota

Is there a quick way to copy all the tracks from one quota to another? Because the Clone facility doesn't copy the data, does it?

I think I'd keep the streaming and listening separate, but it depends on what you're trying to build.

You wouldn't copy any tracks. Tracks (audio files) belong to the band (profile) which is in a quota.

It depends on who is uploading the music.

A standard type setup could be
quota 1: default quota. The one everyone goes into when they sign up
quota 2: Listener. A paid quota that has unlimited streaming
quota 3: Band: no listening access, but can upload songs.

Admin uploads all the tracks and Artist Profiles. The tracks are all registered with PPLUK The UK sound recording database. The site is for My registered records only. They are all distributed on Premier Digital Platforms worldwide for streaming and download. However the amount of Royalties paid is derisory. I am trying to change this on my Jamroom site to pay a fair amount to the artist. So LISTENER. A Paid quota that has unlimited streaming. I am have trouble setting this up, I have created a quota and a test listener but am unsure which modules to add to the quota to make it work. I would appreciate help in this area please.

>> Admin uploads all the tracks and Artist Profiles.
All those artists should be in the 'artists' quota, change them to there.

>> LISTENER. A Paid quota that has unlimited streaming.
Create a new quota for 'listener',
Add the Payments module from the marketplace and connect it to stripe or other payment processor so you can take payments.
Go to the PROFILE QUOTAS section and disable signups for all but the default quota.
On the QUOTA CONFIG for the profile check "Allow subscriptions" and setup the subscription length.
The users should then be able to buy subscriptions from the ACCOUNT SETTINGS page to upgrade themseleves.

I have 3 quotas, Artist Quota - Listener Quota (Paid) User Account Quota
The Listener Quota is for streaming - Do I understand that the tracks in the Artist quota must Not have a price on for this to work? Because it only works when no price is added for sale of a track. But also The non-paid User Account can stream the full track. Also because there is no price the other quota cannot purchase a track. Please help!

Yeah either way I could see working. You could have them paid and a stream length for all quotas then add a module to by-pass the streaming for the paid quota to allow them to be able to stream. That would be one way.

Another way would be to not have them with a price then turn off "allow streams" for the non-paid quota, that would be another way. There's lots of possible ways to configure it, how to configure it would depend on which way was chosen.

Start doing it, then see what problem you run into.

I have sorted the issue (I think) But I cannot see how to get the 'streaming music' amount due to the profile. I have looked at the jamroom documentation also looked at payment support and stream pay. Just cannot figure it out. Could you assist please.

I haven't really used that module. It was built for someone a while back. The docs for it are here:
https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/documentation/modules/3587/stream-pay

If you can't figure it out by playing around with what is there, let me know and I'll try to get it set up on my site to look into it.

Hi Michael, I have read, re-read and read again the documentation for this module but still cannot figure it out.
This is how I have configured things.
I created 4 quotas. 1 Everyone joins this one for normal access to the site. 2. Artist Quota – this one allows for purchase of tracks to download. 3. Artist Quota 2 – this one is for streaming only and can only be accessed by subscription. 4. Quota for (listener subscribers) to access streaming.
To separate streaming from normal I have put the Artist in 2 separate quotas But with a slight alteration to their name. Example:- Artist Quota Michael. Artist Quota 2 Michael-Stream
This has prevented any conflict. I have uploaded tracks to Artist quota with price on them and Artist Quota 2 No Price No Stream Pay because there is a default of 1 cent per stream.
I created a test user with a subscription to stream This is in quota Listener. It works that the subscriber can access 'Streaming' from the top menu (Only visible to Subscribers in the Listener quota
The Subscriber (Listener) streams a track and it is shown straight away in ACP>Modules>Stream Pay> Credit Log.
If I then go to Module>Payment Support>Profile Payout>Artist Quota 2>There are no profiles with pending payouts
So I do not understand how to transfer streaming revenue to the Artist in Artist Quota 2.
I have complete control of all Artist Quotas. The Artist does not have access, because I have a record company registered in the UK and these tracks are all registered on my label. I have another site that gives access to the Artist So I upload all tracks and information.
I hope this explains the configuration for you.

Go to the PAYMENTS module then to TOOLS then PROFILE PAYOUT.

I have tried several times. PAYMENT SUPPORT>TOOLS>PROFILE PAYOUT.
It reports: 'There are no profiles with pending payouts'
The Credit Log shows lots of streams with 0.01

There will be a minimum payout level. you're going to get charged more in fees than arrives if you try to payout less than $0.30

I thought that the streaming credit went into the profile>payments and then admin pays it out when cleared for payment.
The Dashboard>ACP>Stream Pay>Credit Log shows each individual track as it's played with the default 0.01 amount displayed but there does not seem to be a total amount due for the track or an amount to be paid to a profile. Is there somewhere defaults are inserted for minimum to payout and somewhere totals are displayed? Also do I understand that payment will NOT go into the profile payments (as other payments) I am confused, please put me right.
