Licenses Glitches

Looking at the licenses tab on test.jamroom.net, I have 4 licenses under "not installed on any active system"
Audio Support
Document Center
Image Galleries
Beta Launch Page

But looking at the Marketplace >> New Modules on dev3.ultrajam.co.uk that isn't reflected in the module list - Document Center, Image Galleries and Beta Launch Page are all at full price. Tags on the other hand is "you have a license - Free" although that isn't shown as a free license on test.jamroom.net. I do have a license free for tags as it is only installed on one of the test sites. Beta Launch page is definitely on two test sites.

I'm not sure how that has come about, or if this is related, but I've just found I can maybe increase the number of licenses that appear to be available to me. dev3.ultrajam.co.uk was moved today from one server to another. I did a reinstall on the new server, just the download modules, none of the licensed ones. Now I can release the license on test.jamroom.net (the license becomes available on test.jamroom.net), then install Free back onto dev3.ultrajam.co.uk. But the license is still showing as available on jamroom.net

It does look like the licenses aren't actually being made available 3 times (I released, reinstalled and then tried to install it a thirdtime on another site, but it shows as full price in the marketplace there.

So it looks like the Licenses available list is showing false info.

The license isn't being added back into the list for dev3.ultrajam.co.uk when it is reapplied.

edit - yes I think it is added back in

dev3.ultrajam.co.uk is licensed for foxycart, but the foxycart module no longer exists on the site and it shows in the dev3.ultrajam.co.uk marketplace as full price.

I release the license for dev3.ultrajam.co.uk on jamroom.net, it shows as an available license on jamroom.net, and I can install it as Free on dev3.ultrajam.co.uk using the marketplace. So I do that.

It now shows as licensed for dev3 on jamroom.net, but hasn't been removed from the list of available licenses.

So all of this is based on your system_id - let me go into the DB backend and check this out and see what is up.

Thanks!

Quick question - are you using the same email address and system ID on dev3.ultrajam.co.uk that you are signed in here on test.jamroom.net?

Thanks!

okay - stop installing/updating for a bit - I'm going to get setup on my test install as you and see if I can replicate it there.

Thanks!

I found a bug in the browse backend that was only including licenses if the host legnth was greater than 0 (which is wrong) - I've fixed that now. Can you test again and see if that looks better?

Thanks!

I just released a Nova license and a Bundles license.

They show in the available licenses on jamroom.net, but are still showing as full price on dev3 market

Also noticed that on dev3, where audio was installed earlier, it shows under the Installed tab as "you have a license - Free" with the greyed out Already Installed button.

But on xdev4.ultrajam.co.uk, where audio is not installed, it shows as a $29 Quick Purchase.

On jamroom.net Audio is shown under the licenses available.

I think I see the issue, and it's related to our testing. I've refunded your payments from earlier, and that successfully removed the licenses from your account. However, refunding was NOT working until today, and previously you had installed items and when I refunded them to you I simply removed the items from the license table (and not the purchase or sale tables). So I think things have got "out of whack" a bit in your licenses.

I'd like to reset ALL licenses for your account so we can start "fresh" on the latest marketplace backend which I believe is all working properly now.

Let me know if that is OK with you and I will do a full reset and we can test from a fresh install and setup.

Thanks!

Yes that's fine with me.

Is that all the sites or jsut that one? They can all jsut be deleted except the ipsum site which has some things on it.

Okay I'll leave the ipsum site and clean up the rest - give me 5 mins and I'll post back when it's ready.

Thanks!

OK - got the licenses all removed except your ipsum site. So now if you can do a fresh install and let me know if you see any issues going forward that would be great. Note that the marketplace _should_ handle it correctly even without a fresh install, but since those licenses have manually been removed you'll just get a license error for paid modules, while free modules will have their license recreated.

Thanks!

Similar thing happening on the fresh install.

I added Comments and Tags to the fresh install on dev3. They were showing as "you have a license - Free" (these were licensed on the ipsum site).

Then I deleted comments and released the license. But now on the dev3 marketplace it is showing as "$19.00 - quick purchase".

OK - so after installing on the dev3 site, they appeared in the Licenses section? And then you "released" the comments module from the dev3 site, and now on the dev3 site it is showing it at $19.00?

If so I should be able to test that here and replicate it.

Thanks!

I have a site here and just tested with the comment module and it's working for me, and I can see the license is "open" for you in the backend. So let me log into your site and see why it's showing purchase.

Complete fresh install on xdev5 using the fresh downloaded files from above.

I had a comments license in available, so installed that on xdev5.

The comments license is still showing in available.

Yeah I see 3 entries in licenses now for jrComment - 1 is "open", one is on xdev5 and one is on ipsum.

So it looks like it generated a new one instead of assigning xdev5 to the open slot, so let me see why it did that.

That seems to be working now. I deleted the module, released the license, and then reinstalled the module, everything was as expected in the license section on jamroom.net.

The only thing I noticed in that process was that when I reinstalled the comments module, the info tab page of the disabled module loaded, and "delete module" was checked. It remains checked when I reload the page, or navigate away from it, not sure if that is the browser cache or not.

I'll check that out - could be the form session is not being reset after deleting the module, so it "remembers" it for you the next time you viewed it.

Thanks!

Yep - it was missing the form session delete call - I've added that in and pushed an updated core, so let me know if you see any more issues.

Thanks!
