Welcome to Jamroom!

So first up - just to be sure - currently Ning does not have an export tool for Ning 3 sites at this time. You're probably ware of that, but just wanted to be sure you knew that at this time we can't "import" a Ning 3 site into Jamroom.

But you can definitely get started with JR pretty easily - especially using our hosting. All you need to do is spin up a new server from your Hosting menu:

https://www.jamroom.net/zachary-moonshine/hosting/dashboard

after the server is online, you add a new Domain to the server (don't worry - it does not have to point to our servers at this time) and JR will be automatically setup for you:

https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/documentation/jamroom-hosting/2541/creating-a-new-domain-on-your-server

We have a brand new site builder we are hoping goes into beta tomorrow, so it's almost here and that will make it easy for you to customize your site.

Let me know if that helps.

Thanks!

Thanks Brian this all looks overwhelming at first glance but i see others doing it so it cant be that hard. Yes im aware i cant import everything but if i can give them something bad ass i am pretty confident most of them will have no issue helping me rebuild our community

I agree 100% - it gives you a chance to make something better :)

JR can be a little daunting right at first - I won't deny that - but it's very powerful, supremely configurable, and once you "see" how it works it will click into place for you. We've worked hard to be consistent with how things work in JR, so once you configure one module (for example) that's exactly how to configure all modules.

We're here to help too :)

Yes, Jamroom supports subscriptions using the FoxyCart eCommerce module. Subscribed members will be in their own quota(s) that can then be used to give them unique functionality and access.
Adult content is also ok and has been discussed here recently. See this thread for our comments on it - https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/forum/jamroom-hosting/27193/qustion-about-what-type-of-site-content-is-allowed-on-jamroom-hosting
