Hello, and thank you for reading.
I really need A LOT of help as its my first time using Jamroom.

I just installed it and uploaded to my server but I find this problem: every time I create an account the page doesn't load and when I try to log in and fill in the user and password, allowing cookies or not it doesn't matter.

It doesn't redirect me anywhere, the screen stays in the login page and nothing happens.

PLEASE help me with this issue, I don't know what can be wrong.

How can I make it work? :(

Thank you in advance,

N

Hi @nahiding and welcome to Jamroom.

Sounds as though javascript isn't enabled or working properly on your server. Look in your browser error console to see if there are any clues there. Also look at the logs on the server in /data/logs to see if any problems reported there.

You may have done this already, but take a look at our hosting packages - https://www.jamroom.net/hosting - Super fast dedicated server (not shared), Jamroom pre-installed and fully functional, free use of all JR modules and skins, VIP support, 7 day free trial etc.
Hope that helps
Paul

N- I don't have large amounts of funding for my site, and I have very low ability to code or to manage server chores... I highly recommend the JR hosting package that Paul outlined above. I struggled for months on a cheap shared server (Arvixe, $10/month)... things were sooooo much better once I had moved onto the Jamroom server with VIP support and all the rest that Paul mentions.
I just can't recommend the Jamroom hosting package highly enough, especially for folks like you and me- and I find the prices to be very reasonable for all that you get in return. Sorry, I know this sounds like a commercial, but I'm just a super pleased customer.

Thank you Paul and Strumelia, definitely I need to change my hosting once the paid period has ended, I will come back and check the jamroom option. Also, if I manage to make this site work, how could it be better than using Jamroom in a Jamroom server? And I know this is important, not only for simplicity, but because the support in the forum seems to be good, I want to know how the VIP support is ♥ Thank you for recommendiing me this service, if this works I want to try it for sure (I don't have any previos experience with websites so I'm just trying to do something... :( )

As for the issue on the first post, when I enable Java and Javascript, it finally responds to errors like a bad written email address or when a field is wrong. But still doesn't redirect me to a confirmation of account page, neither to a manager page.

Maybe it's a problem with the redirection itself? I didn't find much information online... if you can think about something I can check or do please let me know.

Thank you again,

Nai

Its about the same as the support here in the fourm. Just gives you the option of sending it privately if it contains sensitive info you don't want to be public.

Have you got a URL to your site, I can try to make an account from here and see if there is anything unusual going on.

If its a private issue, send the info to 'support at jamroom dot net' with a link to this thread so we know what the issue is about.
