How to use the jrGravatar module to provide a default profile image?

Using Jamroom

derrickhand300:Maybe I am misunderstanding
I don't want cartoon faces from gravitas as my default profile images any more than I want mine craft characters
I want to upload my own default images- not one- but many- and I want the imgaeS to correspond to the style of my site- in this instance it would be different oilfield pics
Only thing that looks words than a question mark all over the members page is a bunch of goofy avatars

Then don't use Gravatar - that's not going to help you.

What you're looking for has not been developed at this time, so would be a suggestion - we can check it out for a future release.

Thanks!

How to use the jrGravatar module to provide a default profile image?

Using Jamroom

researchcooperative:OK... so I went to that link at the Gravatar site, and was told that we can "supply the URL to an image in the d= or default= parameter."

What is this all about?

Which d= or default= parameter, where?

You don't need to be concerned about that - the module handles that for you. This is why the module gives you a Default Image Style SELECT form field. It's not asking you to enter anything - simply select the default image style you would like. In the middle of the Gravatar page linked to you will find a description for each type:

Quote:mm: (mystery-man) a simple, cartoon-style silhouetted outline of a person (does not vary by email hash)
identicon: a geometric pattern based on an email hash
monsterid: a generated 'monster' with different colors, faces, etc
wavatar: generated faces with differing features and backgrounds
retro: awesome generated, 8-bit arcade-style pixelated faces
blank: a transparent PNG image (border added to HTML below for demonstration purposes)

So all you do is:

- in the Default Image Style select box choose one of the listed styles that you want to be the default
- save your changes.

That's it. There is nothing else you need to configure.

If you are unfamiliar with Gravatar, or are not sure what it is, here's a page that tells you about it:

Question Regarding Seamless Module Function

Using Jamroom

Strumelia:Yes, I cannot quite figure out the order sequence logic either...both audio and video lists should be latest added first.

Like all Jamroom modules on profiles, the profile owner can order them how they want.

Click on the "set item order" icon on the index header and you can set the item order.

Yeah HTML is likely not going to work - I can look into that for a future release though.

Hope this helps!

Question Regarding Seamless Module Function

Using Jamroom

soaringeagle:mhh would i need to disable audio video soundcloud youtube and vimeo modules and use these instead

No - this does not take the place of ANY media module - it is simply a seamless setup and wrapper for existing module.

Just a note that the latest Core (5.2.28) now has support for a "Notice" custom form field type, so you can do it that way now.

Hope this helps!
