You might want to check out www.auctioninc whie you are waiting- I have been using it allmost 10 years on a site and its a big reason for the success I have had
It calculates the actual shipping cost to anywhere in the world using any//all services provided by
USPS UPS Fed Ex DHL and others- when the customer enters their country/zip code it instantly calculates all these services in a drop down menu with the exact pricing for each and allows the customer to choose
Its always been up to date and accurate-allows you to blind drop ship and calcualtes the cost from that location etc
Runs me just around $120/year I think

It also outputs the html for the add to cart and view cart buttons- also allows you to add as many size/color options you want for any item- different prices for different sizes etc

Thanks derrickhand300. But users/profiles do not need that much power. I don't need that much power neither because I offer FREE quotas. If I have to go that far, I will use X-Cart which the best of all carts.

If PayPal Buy It Now module can allow users to sell their audio and video, it can also allow users to sell their Artist items. In a music world, Artists just do not sell videos and audios as Jamroom PayPal Buy It Now module does. Artists also sell promotional items like T-Shirts and Hats.
I offer free quotas therefore I don't need FoxyCart, but my users wants more options to sell more than Videos and Audios.

SteveX:
@randolph Check out the FoxyCart module - from what you are saying it does exactly what you want it to do.

If you look at the attached image you will see a PayPal button to the right. This button is to sell the audio file to the left. When you click on the PayPal button it will take you directly to PayPal Site to pay the User of that audio File 0.01 dollars for that product.

Now this User also wants to sell his/her Artists T-Shirt or Hats, but unfortunately the User cannot because Jamroom only allowed 2 options to sell only Videos and Audios.
What if the Artist is an Author or a Model that has no Audio file to sell but only a PDF poster? In this case the User cannot sell the poster in PDF or any other format because there is no option to do so in PayPal Buy It Now module.

FoxyCart Module is for subscriptions level. My concern here is just for profile/user level PayPal Buy It Now module.
When you login as a user, and click on add a video or an audio, it will provide a field for you to enter your PayPal user account to sell the video or the audio as a user. But there is no option for the user to sell a T-Shirt or a Hat. User's PayPal Buy It Now doesn't need FoxyCart to function because it is not a subscription level transaction.

Thanks so much ultrajam.

The below URL leads to one of your posts on what I am trying to explain here:
https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/forum/announcements/2962/jamroom-core-514-paypal-buy-it-now#p3150

PayPal Buy It Now should also allow profiles to sell their NON-DIGITAL items through PayPal. By NON-DIGITAL items I mean Artist items like T-Shirts, hats etc. This is not a replacement of FoxyCart module. This is not for full subscription support; it is just only for profiles to sell other items apart from media items only.

Some profiles are not Musicians; some profiles may be Authors, or models who may like to sell their promotional items like posters, T-Shirts, or even coffee cups. This module has failed to provide this capability and therefore did not cover different profiles.

Thanks again.

Looking for a developer to Redesign "PayPal Buy It Now" module

Installation and Configuration

gary.moncrieff:
If you want to allow selling of T-shirts etc. install the merchandise store addon, I think an update is due soon to address some small issues.

Gary:
PayPal Buy It Now does not need the Merchandise Store to function. I have tested this from the web site to PayPal web site and back to the user account and it works like a champ. FoxyCart needs Merchandise Store to function. PayPal Buy It Now is a module of its own and Jamroom developers confined the option to sell only video or audio through PayPal Buy It Now, but I came to hear from users and most especially potential users complained that there was no option to sell items like Artist T-Shirts, hats etc.

But The jrPayPal (which is of course PayPal Buy It Now) module is designed to be a quick way to allow users to sell their stuff via PayPal. It is not so; users are limited to sell audio and videos but not artists other promotional items like hats or T-Shirts.

Jamroom developers knows this is true and it is a major flaw in the system. My Quotas are offered free, so I do not need FoxyCart. If I decide to sell my quotas, I can very easily build a plugin to by pass FoxyCart.

Thanks.
Randolph.

Looking for a developer to Redesign "PayPal Buy It Now" module

The jrPayPal module is designed to be a quick way to allow users to sell their stuff via PayPal, but The PayPal Buy It Now module allows to sell video and audio but not to sell paraphernalia like T-Shirts, hats etc.
Is there a developer that can modify this module to allow the selling of band or artists paraphernalia like T-Shirts, hats, cups etc., and also allows for a free offer of such items? Artists should be able to sell what they want and not just only Videos and audios. Please contact me privately.

Thanks.
Randolph.

Hi Brian:
Any update on this issue?
Thanks so much.
Randolph.

It is on our TODO list, but is going to take a little bit before it is implemented as we have quite a few "open" issues we're working on right now.

Thanks!

The official payment system for jamroom was the foxycart module. Watch the video here:

"Why Jamroom 5 chose to use Foxycart"
https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/documentation/modules/205/foxycart-ecommerce

to understand why.

Then see the docs for the paypal module:
https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/documentation/modules/1987/paypal-buy-it-now

Quote: "The jrPayPal module is designed to be a quick way to allow your users to sell their stuff via PayPal.

For a more robust Paypal integration that also allows you to sell subscriptions, use Paypal as the payment processor via the jrFoxyCart module."

Michael:
The documentation for PayPal Buy it now module says this: The jrPayPal module is designed to be a quick way to allow your users to sell their stuff via PayPal.

But users can only sell video and audio and NOT stuff like paraphernalia like T-Shirts or hats. If you can allow videos and audio, why not allowing the sell of hats and T-Shirts for the users. This is all that I am concerned about; the real allowance for users to sell stuff not limiting the stuff they sell.

FoxyCart is good for subscription but I don't need FoxyCart because my Quotas are open and free. I don't charge for my Quotas.

I hope you get what I am saying and please quit referring to FoxyCart. Please refer to PayPal Buy it Now Module for the users. Thanks so much.
