  • What it does

    Exporter writes the content of another site into JSON files that the Importer module loads into Jamroom. Plugins read the source:

    • Jamroom: another Jamroom site (version 5 or newer), for merging sites
    • Ning3: a Ning 3 CSV export
    • CSV: your own CSV files, in a set format

    It's installed on the site you're exporting from.

    ACP > Modules > Tools > Exporter

  • Exporter is a beta module: it's only in the Marketplace's beta channel.

  • Using it

    Set a Site Access Key that matches the one in the Importer. Choose the Active Plugin and configure it on Plugin Config. Then Create JSON Files. Tools > Review Created JSONs shows their contents.

  • Global Config

    Setting What it does
    Site Access Key Must match the Importer's Site Access Key
    JSON File Chunks Items per JSON file (default 1000). Smaller files import more reliably.
    Active Plugin Jamroom, Ning3 or CSV
