marketplace credit card issue

I am having the same issue as in this thread:

https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/forum/using-jamroom/11105/purchase-was-declined-marketplace-purchase

My card's expiration date was recently updated so Quick Purchase is no longer working. I unchecked the Quick Purchase option and entered the new information, but it's being declined. I double checked my entry.

Pretty sure there is an issue.

Unfortunately beyond the error that Stripe sends back to us, there's nothing else to go on. Here's the error message from Stripe in regards to your card:

Quote:
[failure_message] => Your card has expired.
[failure_code] => expired_card

I'm assuming you entered the new credit card expiration date?

Thanks!

Yes. I unchecked Quick Purchase, and then tried to purchase, entering the updated information. It gives me a green OK checkmark in the modal which then fades away, then a warning dialog appears a couple seconds later with the declined message.

Yeah it sounds like Stripe might have your old CC info cached on their end, but that's just a guess. I will contact their support and see if there is something we've got setup wrong - I don't think so, but I will find out.

Sorry for the hassle!

Just an update that looking in the Stripe Dashboard I can see that your credit card has an expired expiration date, so that's not being updated. Since we use Stripe "checkout", where all the CC info is collected and parsed by Stripe, not us, I assume they will update the CC info with the new expiration date, but maybe not - I'm checking that out now.

I even tried going with a different email/user. It asked if I wanted to store it as if it was creating a new account and did so apparently successfully, but the transaction then still came back declined after that.

I was able to purchase the module on jamroom.net.

I believe I have a fix in for this now, although it is hard to test since Stripe does not have a way to manually add an expired credit card to "test" if it updates correctly with a new one.

If you get a chance and would be willing to test it for me, I will refund the purchase for you and you can keep the module/skin (as long as it is one of ours - i.e. made by the Jamroom Network).

Thanks!

It seems to be working. I was able to purchase the URL Scanner module and then after that I switched Quick Purchase back on and was able to purchase Private Notes.

You don't need to refund these. Jamroom is too cool.
