can the audio import module "/uploaded_audio/import " be used or modified to import from a local hard drive instead of from "/home/du/public_html/audio_files "?

I tried importing from a local hard drive and it don't work , what module ,what line do I have to edit to import from a local hard drive ?

I don't see why the audio import module cant be improved on to carry out the task of importing from both a local hard drive or a web drive.......

You can't - your Jamroom sites lives out on a server - that server does NOT have access to your local hard drive. You will need to upload the audio to the audio_files directory.

There must be away to import off the hard drive by modifying the code to read off the hard drive..
when you have over 3000 songs to upload it is a pain to do, creating all the profiles

Well, you could install software on your PC to make it a web server, set up all the security needed etc. and get your PC visible on the www, then fight off all the bots and hackers, then make your hard disk visible, then modify the Audio module to read it etc. but at the end of the day that data on the hard drive is still going down the cables and fibre from your home to your Jamroom server at the same speed as it would if you just FTPed it to your server in the first place ;-)

you might be able to locate some software to keep your website folder and your local folder in sync.

How do I modify the module to put a profile photo and bio on artist profile when the import tool is used ?

I want the module to import a text file and to use one of the images as artist profile photo and to put the . txt file in the bio section...

I first asked for this back in JR3 before the import tool was created because I had over 3000 songs that needs to be imported ,and it is a pain to edit so many profiles to include bio and profile photos wish waist too much time....

It would be a good feature to add to the audio import tool

Thanks

The other issue I see is when the files are imported , it dose not make the profiles active , and it is a pain to find all the profiles and make them active ,there should be an options upon import to make "profile active , YouTube Channel or User name , pay pal email address" please add these feature to the import tool

Thanks

You are the only user asking for these features so whilst they are noted, they are a low priority on our 'to do' list, unless, of course, you want to push them up the list by sponsoring their development?

This is fixed in Audio 2.0.2 - update and profiles should now be active after importing.
