I created a mp3 more than 12 hours ago and is getting "This audio file is currently being processed and will appear here when complete."

Then it is corrupted - delete it and try again. If it happens again, the MP3 is bad.

I did that , I even tried a different mp3

it plays in the album section , it is not coming up as a separate track under "AUDIO"

If you reset caches does it show?

I did that too , I cleared my browser chase too.

If it was corrupted it would not show under albums and play

If it plays under albums but still shows "This audio file is currently being processed and will appear here when complete" then something is messed up with your item_detail template - I'm not sure what else it could be.

why would it reconvert a mp3 ?

If the bit rate on the MP3 is HIGHER than what you have set for conversion in the Audio Global Config.
