in progress where's the jrUser 'bot button' code update located?

I applied the new update to jrUser, which is for:

User Accounts module changelog
Version 1.7.3:
New: "Show Bots" button in Whos Online listing to show known bots accessing the site
Change: New Crawler-Detect library used to detect bots
Change: URLs inside of code blocks are not changed if Create SSL URLs is enabled

...and i did integ check and cache clear...however I'm not seeing any changes or new button and I cannot find any change in the template codes from 1.7.2 to 1.7.3 when running a Compare.
What am I missing?

The button is not there for me, not sure why. I again reset cache and did another integ check, but no button. Does the button only show up if there ARE bots online?- I wouldn't think so. I don't have any customized jrUser templates in my active skin, either.

In which template of jrUser 1.7.3 was the new code change?- Im not finding it in Compares.

Sorry- gotta get to bed- back in the morning! :)

No template, this one shouldn't need anything done on your part, it should just be there. I can see its not on your site, looking into why now.

--edit--
I see what's happened, it will come online when the new JR 5.3.0 core comes out shortly.

Its there, but because the core is still at 5.2.41 in the marketplace, its not showing up yet.

Sorry bout that. You will not need to do any alterations to see it when it arrives, its not in the templates.

It's there right now if you go to ACP -> Users -> User Accounts -> Tools -> Whos Online. It will show up in the "Users Online" dashboard section once the next core release is out.

Hope this helps!

I just reload the User Accounts module and reset your caches and it is showing now - not sure why it wasn't previously, but you should be good.

Hope this helps!

Brian...I don't remember if I had any customized templates in the User Accounts module...if I did, would my customizations have been wiped out when you reloaded the module? =8-*
Just need to know this...

I just realized why I'm not seeing the button- it's that databrowser browser 'cut-off' issue I believe you and I were discussing a few days ago. You can see the issue again in my screenshot above, but here are two more screenshots to follow.

On a Mac desktop and on a Macbook, I get the whole screen with the last column(Modify) and the Bot button in Safari, in Chrome, and in Firefox...no issue on the Macs.

On my windows desktop however (with a large screen, and won't change if pulling or refreshing) it works fine on Firefox but right column(s) are cut off in both Safari and in Chrome. See these new screenshots...am missing the right sides and thus cannot see or access the Modify column or the new bot button. Can someone else check this out on their windows in safari and chrome?

This is happening in my Who's Online, my User Accounts browser, and my Profile Browser.

IMPORTANT: I just found that this ONLY happens if I'm getting there from the ACP-->Users menu. All displays JUST FINE if I go there from the Dashboard! This must be a clue! :)
And of course I am not yet getting the BotButton via the dashboard, but at least I get the whole screen. ;)

So, getting to the databrowser via the ACP, here's what I see when on Safari on windows:

But as I said when I get there through the DASHBOARD, everything looks just fine on all platforms and browsers, displaying the whole screen and all columns.

I just tested the Ninja skin on FF, IE 11, Chrome and Safari on my Windows desktop and I'm not seeing the issue your seeing.

Are you zooming in on your browser view? Try hitting Ctrl+0 on your keyboard and see if that fixes the view.

Douglas, no my browser view is set to 100%.
In your test, are you going there through the ACP menu (and NOT through the dashboard way)?

Must be something in my custom skin, because here's the difference:

The view is fine if I access those same databrowsers through Dashboard --the "who's online" URL there is for example (mysite).com/core/dashboard/online.
But it's cut off in Safari and Chrome if I access those areas via my ACP menu and the URL there for seeing "who's online" is for example: (mysite).com/user/online.
Those are two different locations for seeing what members are online.
This same cutoff happens for the ACP-accessed Who's Online, User Accounts browser, and Profile Browser. No problems when going through dashboard.

Guess I can workaround by not using the ACP path to get there, and use the dashboard only to access those databrowsers, but it still makes me curious.

I got to that page both ways, via the Dashboard and ACP > Users > User Accounts > Tools > Who Is Online.

I just checked your site on my Windows desktop, all browsers, and I'm not seeing what your seeing.

I'm at a loss and not sure why your seeing that.

Yet to doesn't happen for the "Quota Browser"!
Sigh...let's file this issue under "Mystery Issues" for now. You guys have tried real hard, and I appreciate it. Maybe we'll figure it out next year or something!

Happily, if I need something badly that it cut off, I can go on my little MacBook Air and access the column. So it's more a matter of annoyance than anything critical. I'll mark this thread "no solution".

Thank you for trying! :)

The issue exists because one of your usernames is really long.

Its forcing the table to be wider than the col9.

It can be fixed by adding:
#item-work {
    overflow-x: auto;
}
To one of the CSS files.

Probably should be a core fix though.

Thanks Michael for this insight.
Should i wait for the next core update, or should I add the code?
I'd need to know exactly where to add this code though.

You can add the code Michael provided to any of your CSS files.

I'm not sure there will be a fix in the next release, as Michael said, it has to do with the name being too long.

I've got a tracker open for it.
