MailGun API sends your site's email through Mailgun, an email delivery service. Mail sent straight from a web server often doesn't arrive, or lands in spam. A delivery service like Mailgun gets far more of it delivered.
It also:
ACP > Modules > Communication > MailGun API
mg.yoursite.com. Add the DNS records Mailgun gives you and wait until Mailgun shows the domain as verified. The Tools tab has:
| Tool | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Email Delivery Log | Every message Mailgun handled, and what happened to it |
| Bounces and Failures | Addresses that bounced or failed |
| Spam Complaints | Members who marked your email as spam. Mailgun stops sending to them. Remove complaint lets them get email again. |
| Blocked Domains | Mail domains that refused your email, for example because of a blocklist |
New bounces are fetched every 10 minutes. A member whose address bounces has their email notifications turned off. In ACP > Users > User Accounts, bouncing or invalid addresses are marked. The ACP Dashboard has a MailGun tab with the same logs, plus a DMARC tab. It lists the DMARC reports for your domain once a Mailgun route forwards those report emails to yoursite.com/mailgun/webhook.
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Private API Key | Your Mailgun private API key, from the Mailgun control panel |
| Mailgun Domain | Your sending domain, without https://. If you enter several, separated by commas, the one that matches the From address is used. |
| Log Blocked Keywords | One per line. When a bounce reason contains one of them, the domain is added to Blocked Domains and the Activity Log. |
Email Validation (optional, a paid Mailgun service):

|---|---|
| Public Validation Key | Your Mailgun public validation key |
| Max Daily Validations | How many existing members' addresses to check each day (0 = none). New accounts are checked anyway. |
| Address Check Enabled | Checks the address at signup. If it can't receive mail, the person is asked for another one. |
