Install a Module

Applies to: Jamroom 7.0+ Last verified: 2026-10-24
  • Before you start

Your site must be connected to the Marketplace with your Marketplace System ID (see Your jamroom.net Account and the Marketplace).

  • Steps

    1. Open ACP > Modules > Core > Marketplace. The Modules tab lists the modules you can install.
    2. Find the module: search, or page through the list. Click more info... for a description.
    3. Click install. A premium module you don't have a license for shows purchase instead.
    4. When the install finishes, click info next to the module in the results. On its Info tab, check Module Active and click Save Changes.

The Marketplace downloads the module and sets up its database tables itself. You don't upload anything.

  • Give profiles the module

  • A module that adds a section to profiles (Audio, Video, Forum, ...) doesn't show on any profile until you allow it. Open the module's Quota Config tab, choose a quota, check Allowed On Profile and save. Do this for each quota that should have it, or use Apply To All Quotas.

  • Then check the module's Global Config tab for settings it needs, such as an API key.

  • Modules for a whole kind of site

The Marketplace's Bundles tab has sets of modules for a kind of site, such as music, video or social. A bundle installs them all at once.
