I've just published 2 new blogs today:

"Jamroom.net Redesign and New Hosting Features":

https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/blog/76/jamroomnet-redesign-new-hosting-features

and

"New Jamroom Branding + Jamroom Premium":

https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/blog/77/new-jamroom-branding-jamroom-premium

This second blog post will be interesting to many of you - anyone that previously purchased the Jamroom Super Pack OR had spent $199 or more on premium modules or skins has automatically been upgraded to Jamroom Premium for free :)

Check those out and let us know if you have any questions - we'd love to get any feedback you might have on all the new stuff.

Thanks!

The only thing I couldn't find was a list of the modules and templates. The /download links isn't working any longer.

I'm sure people will want to see what's included with the hosting / premium packages - from the main site. I can click on your profile / marketplace to see the modules, but you might want to have an "overview" page on the main site outlining the great modules you offer which are included with the membership. Maybe it's already there and I'm not seeing it???

Another note about a modules page, on your profile page / marketplace it doesn't have a sorting option like the download page had - sort by newest, etc.

Thanks for the feedback @jimmy - it's appreciated.

Make sure and check out your dashboard here:

https://www.jamroom.net/jimmy

the "marketplace updates" will tell you what is new.

If you need to see a list of modules, we have that here:

https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/networkmarket

I know it does not have sorting like the old lists did, but we're really trying to cut down on the number of custom pages we're having to maintain on this end - very few people even used the /download section (based on our GA stats). We can also look into some updates to the marketplace page to make it easier to sort or search.

And for the list of "what's included" we will get a link in to the marketplace - that's a good idea.

Thanks!

Separating modules and skins would be useful, I think. As an example, I am currently looking at different skins now and it's more difficult when I have to wade through the modules to find them. The reverse would also be true for those who've already settled on a skin and are looking for modules.

dcr:.... I am currently looking at different skins now and it's more difficult when I have to wade through the modules to find them......

How are you looking for them? I would expect that the default way to look for new skins would be from the MARKETPLACE tab inside your jamroom installation. In that location SKINS and MODULES have their own tabs.

If that's not how you like to do it, interested to hear your preferred method.

Hi Brian. The JR team has done a great work. Congratulations.

My concern is a about my Subscription. I have bought the following premium modules and skin: "Advanced Charts, OneAll Social Link, User Comments, User Playlists, ProJam 5 Light Skin, Video Support, Audio Support".

With the new JR system, why didn't my subscription upgrade to the Premium Plan? It is still marked as "Open Source" plan. Please can you upgrade it?

Thanks.

The total spent on these items was $81.50 - which is below the $199 level we set for a free upgrade to Jamroom Premium. The reason we chose $199 is that is the price of the Jamroom 5 Super Pack (and premium is designed to replace the Super Pack).

If you think I've overlooked something let me know.

Thanks!

Yes - you are premium:

https://www.jamroom.net/bandwerkstatt

See the "premium" under your name on the left hand side.

Hope this helps!

Thanks Brian. According to their price in the marketplace, I've thought that the total of these items was over $199. Where in my JR account can i check the total spent?
Thanks

It's not based on the current marketplace price, but the actual price paid. Unfortunately right now the interface doesn't expose the actual price paid per item - however, if you still have access to your email you could look at the receipts.

I can see your last purchase was: 15 Nov 2013 07:20:39AM

Let me know if that helps.

Thanks!

Ok Brian. I understand. Thanks. What about if I keep on buying individual items and reach that required amount of $199 or over, will my subscription automatically be upgraded to premium?

Thanks

Not at this time - we don't have that setup, but it's actually something we have thought about getting setup so it's "automatic". It would be @ $299 though - the normal price of Premium.

Just want to add too that Premium is brand new - we of course don't want any existing customers to feel like they are not getting a good deal, so feedback is always appreciated. Depending on how things go we can always tweak it to make it the best value for our users.

Wow, com'on Brian! Maybe you should have thought about your existing customers as well (those who didn't reach the $199 limit yet but who will be interested in the Premium Plan) and not just leave them behind like that. Since, it is a new plan, the $299 requirement should have applied to new customers only from now. (It will encourage your existing customers - Old or longtime JR users to upgrade to the Premium Plan, while you guys from JR Team still earn money). It is just a thought.

I appreciate the feedback! It's always hard when you roll out a new feature as you have to worry about how it is going to affect everyone - it's really hard to make everyone 100% happy.

We're kicking around some ideas here for existing users to upgrade to Premium - nothing has been decided on yet.

Giving existing users who spent $199 or more a free upgrade to Premium was our way of saying thanks for supporting JR at a higher level than most users. There's always going to be someone under the cutoff level that is going to wish it had been lower.

Again - thanks for the feedback - we'll have something out to address this specific issue real soon, and our hope is it makes (almost) everyone happy.

Thanks!

That's great pricing for block buying multiple site licenses - less than $20 per site for all modules? That's a gift!!! :)
