Question Regarding Seamless Module Function

Using Jamroom

We have just released 2 new modules:

Combined Audio:

https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/networkmarket/240/combined-audio

and Combined Video:

https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/networkmarket/241/combined-video

that "combine" the audio and video modules into a single "audio" and "video" section. I think this will handle what everyone is looking for really nicely :)

unable to confirm local audio file for conversion3

Jamroom Developers

DannyA:This started happening after we updated the s3 module last night from 1.0.5 to 1.0.7

I'm not really sure what to say. The changes I added last night were just converting some fdebug() function calls to jrCore_logger().

I just tested here with the latest S3 module:

http://tdsdk.com/brian/uploaded_audio/50/s3-audio-test

and I see no problems. What I would suggest is to make sure you have a 100% "stock" Jamroom install that you can test on to see where the problem lies. Right now I don't see any problems with the S3 module - it is working as it should. I would suspect something in your custom code has broken something OR something is not configured or setup correctly.

If you can tell me how to reproduce the issue I will definitely fix it - I just don't see the issue you're seeing here.

CKEditor

Using Jamroom

Yeah - if it is for the forum, you need to go into the Global Config and enable the editor.

It is not enabled here on jamroom.net.

Let me know if that helps.

CKEditor

Using Jamroom

jimmyk:Thanks, I was just curious. I was using CKEditor on another site and yea, it was a real pain to customize.

Is there somewhere I can activate the GUI editor? For this post I'm making it's a box where I can manually add BBCode if I choose. Was there an ability to use the graphic interface on a JR site?

Thanks!

I'm not quite sure I understand what you mean - the TinyMCE editor is part of the core and enabled for a lot of modules:

- you see it when creating/updating a blog
- you see it when creating/updating a page
- you can enable it for the forum, comments, activity modules

Let me know if that is what you're looking for.

Thanks!

Suggestions

We are not working on one at the present, and it will be some time before we do. Our focus right now is on Site Builder and improving existing modules.

If it is something you really need now then you'll want to go ahead and build it.

Jamroom + FaceBook/Share This!

Installation and Configuration

gary.moncrieff:If I am not mistaken you need to be behind ssl for sharing to facebook to work.

This is correct - you cannot share unless your site is on SSL. Contact Arvixe hosting - they can help you get setup with an SSL certificate.

Date drop down showing date when not entered

Design and Skin Customization

blindmime:I have a very upset client due to this issue. I believe something has changed in jamroom. We weren't experiencing this issue last year.

The date in this field is changing to the current date whenever the form is updated. Not just the form display, but the actual data is being changed when updated.

Why?

I am not sure - A LOT of things have changed over the last year.

Is the date field that is changing part of a core module? A cloned module? A custom form field?

Thanks!

CKEditor

Using Jamroom

jimmyk:A lot of sites I use have CKEditor. Was there a reason why JR isn't using CKEditor or similar product? I see editors everywhere, mainly just curious why JR doesn't include one.

Thanks!

Jamroom uses TinyMCE - same idea. I've used CKeditor in the past, and at the time we were deciding which to go with CKEditor was a real PITA to work with from the developer level if you wanted to do anything custom. Probably better now, but we went with TinyMCE.

unable to confirm local audio file for conversion3

Jamroom Developers

Natedogg265:[Artist N8]: invalid file type received for conversion: - type is not supported

jrCore_confirm_media_file_is_local() does not return an array - it returns the fully pathed local file so I have no idea where you are dumping that array from.
