  • One-click install

    One-click install

    Softaculous is a script installer built into many hosting control panels, including cPanel, DirectAdmin, Plesk and InterWorx. It lists Jamroom in its Portals/CMS category and installs it for you: no download, upload or database to create.

  • Steps

    The screens differ a little between hosting providers. The steps are:

    1. Log in to your hosting control panel and open Softaculous Apps Installer (in cPanel it's in the Software section).
    2. Search for Jamroom, or open the Portals/CMS category and click Jamroom.
    3. Click Install.
    4. Choose the domain and, if Jamroom shouldn't run at the top of the domain, a directory. Choose https:// if your domain has an SSL certificate.
    5. Enter the admin user name, password and email address for your site.
    6. Click Install and wait for the success message.

  • Softaculous creates the admin account for you, so you don't need the Create Admin Account step. Log in to your new site with the user name and password you entered in Softaculous.

  • After installing

    Softaculous installs the Jamroom Open Source release it has on file, which may be a little behind the newest release. Update it from the Marketplace (see Your jamroom.net Account and the Marketplace).

    Then run the System Check, described in Create the Admin Account, and continue with First Steps after Installation.
